The modern western student reading Aristotle feels more at home.  His thoughts seem more modern. But Aristotle was Plato's star pupil  As you read and study about Aristotle remember that whatever else Aristotle is, deep in his mind he is still a Platonist.  Remembering this will help prevent you from reading into his works concepts that would be foreign to him.
